Dr. Idris Salim Dokota, PhD, is the Principal Secretary and the Accounting Officer for the State Department for Cabinet Affairs. Dr. Dokota holds a Doctorate Degree in International Economics and a Master’s Degree in Economics; World Economy from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing-China. He holds a B Com degree in Accounting and Finance from Pwani University. He is a Trade Economist with years of experience in Consultancy and training both in Public and Private sectors. Previously he worked as a Planning Officer in the Planning and Strategy Department of the National Museums of Kenya. Dr. Dokota has engaged in policies and strategies formulation and implementation at the National Museums of Kenya. He has experience in impact evaluation, research and modelling. His areas of interest include cultural goods trade policy and cultural economics.
